Ingersoll Commons was built in effort to meet the City’s affordable housing, stormwater management and open space goals. Ingersoll Commons is part of the City’s “Green Plan Philadelphia” initiative to bring new open space to underserved neighborhoods.
Homeowners and city officials celebrated the rebirth of a former vacant lot that had been vacant for years. The 10-unit housing t was developed in hopes to revitalize the community and improve the quality of life in that area. These homes are energy-efficient with gas-fired furnaces, Energy Star insulations and tankless water heaters. All homes face the new Park.
In addition to the new homes, a new City park featuring beautiful landscaping and large trees along pathway. The park is lit with Selux SonneLiter LED, solar-powered pedestrian lights that add to the energy-efficient community.
