Ordrupgaard Museum houses French Impressionist art and Danish art from the Golden Age with an exquisite collection of paintings by artists such as Monet, Gauguin, and Hammershøi.

With an extension to the building made by star architect Zaha Hadid, the museum has gained a strong architectural profile. The existing building, built 1918 by Gotfred Tvede, was expanded to make rooms for special exhibitions and to enhance the surroundings for the museum's visitors. The museum has changing special exhibitions and exhibits art in the open in Art Park Ordrupgaard.

The lighting concept for the public spaces was to provide linear 'slashes' of light that complemented and reinforced the complex geometry of the building. Selux MSeries recessed was used to achieve this effect.
