Selux is pleased to announce Steve Barthel as our new Director of Engineering.
Steve brings extensive experience as a Mechanical Engineer, having earned his degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology. His career started at IBM, where he spent 23 years in various capacities, eventually reaching middle management roles supporting power supply development and manufacturing engineering for mainframe chip fabrication. After his tenure at IBM, Steve joined a small engineering firm as Vice President of Engineering for seven years, concentrating on creating and building semiconductor fabrication equipment. Prior to joining Selux, he served for 11 years as Director of Engineering at another lighting company in the Hudson Valley, where he was responsible for both the development and manufacturing sides of architectural lighting. In his personal time, Steve enjoys traveling the world with his wife, spending time with his grandchildren, and relaxing at his Adirondacks camp.
