In the turquoise waters of The Bahamas, Royal Caribbean’s Perfect Day at CocoCay is a destination unlike any other — a private island designed entirely around adventure, relaxation, and unforgettable moments. Now, a new experience has emerged on its sunlit shores: Hideaway Beach, an exclusive adults-only oasis where the rhythm excites, the cocktails flow, and every detail is touched by design.
Among those details — and perhaps the most quietly transformative — is the lighting.
The Subtle Art of Illumination
When Royal Caribbean set out to create Hideaway Beach, the vision was clear: an environment that feels effortless and natural, yet alive with energy day and night. To achieve that balance, the design team turned to Selux Corporation and the Olivio lighting system — a family of luminaires inspired by the organic beauty of nature.
Deployed throughout the pool decks, walkways, and beachfront lounges, Olivio lights bring a sense of playful sophistication to the space. Their gentle glow enhances the island’s atmosphere without ever intruding on it — highlighting textures, defining pathways, and extending the vibrant Hideaway experience beyond sunset.

Design That Disappears
On Hideaway Beach, every element of design had to serve both beauty and practicality. Using the Sistema 2 arms for Olivio, Selux achieved a seamless, minimal profile by mounting multiple fixtures on a single pole — reducing visual clutter while maximizing coverage and flexibility. The result: lighting that quietly integrates into its surroundings, maintaining open sightlines and the natural rhythm of the beachscape.
From daylight’s shimmer to the soft warmth of evening, the Olivio system adapts gracefully — never competing with the ocean view, but complementing it.

With the addition of Hideaway Beach, Royal Caribbean has created a sanctuary where adults can unwind in Bahamian paradise — and Selux is proud to play a part in shaping that atmosphere.
