The soft­ware group SAP has opened a new Inno­va­tion Center in Pots­dam on the site of the his­toric bar­racks on Jungfernsee (Maid­ens’ Lake). The new center for com­puter tech­nolo­gies is to house up to 150 employ­ees. The research teams will be devel­op­ing inno­v­a­tive soft­ware appli­ca­tions based on SAP’s Hana” data­base plat­form. One main focus will be on IT appli­ca­tions in the med­ical field.

When design­ing the build­ing, spe­cial empha­sis was put on cre­at­ing an open and cre­ative work envi­ron­ment. The light­ing solu­tion was real­ized using M36 sur­face-mounted and pen­dant lumi­naires from Selux in zinc yellow.
