In the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, New York’s beaches suffered damage to many structures. The solution was 37 permanent modular structures, spread throughout 15 sites in the New York City area.

These modular buildings, built to withstand storms, feature the Selux M125 and Survivor. The Selux M125 and Survivor were chosen for their high efficiency, versatility, and high quality. Both luminaires are waterproof, impact and vandal resistant. They are economical, aesthetically interesting, and built to survive the toughest weather conditions.

  • M125 LED is a linear luminaire with high impact and access protection to IP65 and IK10 standards. Used individually or in Runs in transportation stations, bus stops, parking garages, underpasses, and more, M125 LED offers a safe, efficient lighting solution.
  • Survivor® 9 LED provides customers with a premium quality vandal-proof and tamper-resistant fixture that is aesthetically pleasing and suited to mounting conditions in areas requiring high levels of protection. Perfect for railway platforms, pedestrian bridges, tunnels, bus stations, overpasses, parking garages, sports complexes, and laboratories. A sleek and shallow fixture, its gentle curved form is especially suited for applications where an unobtrusive fixture is required, or to work within architectural lighting schemes. It is constructed of durable materials, cast aluminum end plates, an impact-resistant prismatic or glass shielding, stainless steel captive fasteners, and an extruded aluminum housing.
