Technical Support Representitive

Title: Technical Support Representitive

Job Summary:  Interfaces with customers regarding technical aspects of the organization’s products.  Provides problem solving resolution and troubleshooting to customers over the telephone.  Assists with product updates.  Relays customer feedback regarding products to the appropriate individual in sales’, quality assurance and product management.  Determines the best solution to resolve problems ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to organization polices.  Provides guidance, training and instruction to non-technical representatives.  Possess a strong technical knowledge of assigned products. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist RSMs, customer service and quotes with technical questions
  • Provides technical support to customers
  • Create Super Office projects and log all customer questions and concerns to establish patterns and training needs, escalating information to as needed.
  • Work directly with marketing and product development team
  • Compare/learn specification features and understand manufacturing methods
  • Support agent training by assisting with the planning and coordinating of technical subject matter.
  • Perform lighting calculation and present AGI and Auto Cad.
  • Maintain Photometry Library
  • Conduct photometric studies and comparisons
  • Create lighting layout drawings utilizing AGI and Auto Cad
  • Create optics system designs
  • Responsible for in-house lighting training programs for Selux employees, customers and representatives.

Job Knowledge and Skills:

  • Degree in Engineering, Business or Architecture or 2+ year’s relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, electrical assembly.
  • Experience with Photometry and Lighting Calculations
  • Strong computer skills, to include; All Micro Soft Office products
  • Ability to read lighting and manufacturing blueprints and schematics.
